28TH ANNUAL TIM HORTONS SOUTHSIDE SHUFFLE CELEBRATES AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND OF MUSIC IN PORT CREDIT, ATTRACTING THOUSANDS
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Port Credit was alive with music September 11 to 13 as the 28th Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival drew thousands of music fans to the village for three days of live music, community and celebration.
The festival saw an incredible turnout throughout the weekend, including a sold-out Saturday on the Visit Mississauga Main Stage. Atlanta, Georgia’s Blackberry Smoke headlined Saturday night, while Canadian rock icon Kim Mitchell drew a tremendous crowd to Port Credit Memorial Park Friday night.
“We couldn’t have asked for better weather, better attendance or a better weekend,” said Southside Shuffle Artistic Director Chuck Jackson. “To see artists and music lovers coming from near and far, including from across the globe, enjoying such an incredible range of music is what the Southside Shuffle is all about. A world of music from our three stages, along with dancing in the street. No borders, no boundaries, just the joy of great music!”
Over three days, the Southside Shuffle presented more than 60 live performances, with free and ticketed programming on three stages in Port Credit Memorial Park, music in the streets and performances in clubs throughout the village.
Saturday afternoon’s free LIUNA Local 183 Street Shuffle once again transformed Lakeshore Road into a celebration of live music, with performers lining the street and thousands of festivalgoers of all ages taking in the music and atmosphere in the heart of Port Credit.
The festival also celebrated emerging talent through the Rising Star Youth Challenge, supported by Metalworks Studios, SoundsUnite, Long & McQuade and the Hazel McCallion Foundation, with Logan Staley taking first place and earning the grand prize, including studio time at Metalworks Studios.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive from our community and the hundreds of volunteers who come together to make this festival happen,” said Festival Chair Kristine Kane. “We’re very proud of our Southside Shuffle family and what we’re able to accomplish together year after year.”

While the festival weekend may be over, the Southside Shuffle is already looking ahead to the 29th Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival, taking place September 10 to 12, 2027, in Port Credit, Mississauga. Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival Returns to Port Credit, Mississauga
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – The 28th Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival returns to Port Credit, Mississauga, September 11 to 13. This year’s festival features an exciting mix of free and ticketed programming throughout Port Credit. Festival-goers can also enjoy a fully licensed Memorial Park, food vendors, and an artisan market throughout the weekend.
Friday’s headliner is Canadian music icon Kim Mitchell, with performances by Jack de Keyzer and the Jon Hines Band.
Saturday’s headliner is Atlanta-based Blackberry Smoke, proudly presented exclusively by Visit Mississauga. The day’s lineup also includes Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar, Suzie Vinnick Band, and the Cameo Blues Band featuring special guests Chuck Jackson and Tom Barlow.
Sunday’s headliner is Slowhand: The Music of Eric Clapton, presented by Lance Anderson and featuring Steve Marriner, Matt Weidinger, and Selena Evangeline. Sunday’s Main Stage lineup also features Steve Marriner and Local Electric, The Weber Brothers, and Cheryl Lescom & The Tucson Choir Boys.
“We’re really excited about this year’s lineup and proud to be putting on the festival for the 28th year,” said Festival Artistic Director Chuck Jackson. “With world-renowned and award-winning musicians coming from across Canada and the U.S., it’s shaping up to be another great weekend of live music in Port Credit.”
With more than 60 live performances across the Visit Mississauga Main Stage, World Stage, Snug Cafe Acoustic Stage, the free LIUNA Local 183 Street Shuffle, and participating clubs and restaurants throughout Port Credit, there’s live music around every corner.
The free World Stage features Duende, TUBA4, Samba Squad, Callie Back, Better Than Nothing, Loco Zydeco with Chuck Jackson, Cheryl Lescom and Pat Carey, Jay Douglas and The Allstars, Ken Whiteley’s Sunday Gospel Special, Kunlé, Frankie Foo & The YoYo Smugglers, and Toronto Blues Society Talent Search winner Joe Ray McDonald.
The free Snug Cafe Acoustic Stage features Morgan Davis, Harrison Kennedy, Frank Sultana, Alfie Smith, Crossfield Bend, and Bees Knees.
The free LIUNA Local 183 Street Shuffle takes place on Lakeshore Road on Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., featuring Tree Top Poets, Get Real, Dingo, Penny Machine, Latintrain, Lost Patients, Hell Bent Rockers, Raquel’s Riot, Susie Grooves Band, Voodoo Pawn Shop, The Paul Morgan Project, The Wish List, Dinny’s Dixieland All-Stars, The Marauders, and Whiskey River Blues Band. The official opening ceremonies and ribbon cutting take place at 12:45 p.m. at the corner of Lakeshore Road and Stavebank Road, followed by the Second Line Parade led by the Top Hat Marching Band to officially kick off the festival.
The Rising Star Youth Challenge, supported by Metalworks Studios, SoundsUnite, Long & McQuade, and the Hazel McCallion Foundation, returns to the World Stage during the festival. Also taking place on Sunday on the World Stage is the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony, where Don Breithaupt and Brian Murray will be honoured.

General admission tickets for the Visit Mississauga Main Stage are $30 Friday, $40 Saturday, $30 Sunday, or $80 for a weekend pass.
