On July 13th , Tim Hortons Restaurants will be launching our annual Camp Day program where 100% of proceeds from Coffee (including Take 12s) and Iced Coffee sold will be donated to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps (THFC). You can also donate $2 for a Camp Day bracelet in support of the THFC. New this year we also have Camp Day Socks available for sale at select locations.
Take 12’s can also be purchased to buy a Camp Day coffee for your whole office, family or friends. What are Take 12s? Take 12s are a packaged bulk coffee set which includes 12 small coffees with all the normal additions (12 cups, sugar, dairy, etc.). They are perfect for any office staff room, meeting, worksite or for an easy coffee delivery surprise and delight for family and friends. Beginning on June 29th, Take 12 pre-order forms can be submitted to local restaurants for orders to be picked up and paid for on Camp Day (July 13th).
This year the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Annual Blues and Jazz Festival has decided to reward a highly deserving student in the music program at Cawthra Park Secondary School. The “Southside Shuffle Music Achievement Award" and a Cheque for $750.00 is presented to a student who has shown outstanding achievement in the Music Program and has been selected by the Cawthra Music Staff in conjunction with the board and artistic director of the Southside Shuffle. This year the award goes to Evan Alzamora.
Evan Alzamora is a kind, patient student with a true passion for music. During his time in our vocal program, Evan has performed in all of our choirs and played percussion in Senior Band. He has developed a deep interest in jazz and began developing his piano and harmony skills becoming a dedicated student of musical complexity and composition. This past year he and Soroosh took on the role of student directors leading "The Boys in B" chorus who were featured at our Spring Spectacular. Beyond his performance work, Evan is an inquisitive and respectful member of his class. He has been accepted into the York University music program to continue his journey and the music department congratulates him on being the first recipient of this award.
