MICHAEL FONFARA
1946 - 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of our dear friend and longtime Downchild band member, Michael Fonfara.

He was an incredible musician, a gentle soul and we were honoured to share the stage with him every time we performed. He will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. There will be a celebration of life once we are all safely able to get together.

Downchild Blues Band

There were 2 sides to Michael Fonfara...there was the brilliant musician who could take the concept of a song and sit down at the piano and make it whole, the man who could "Wow' a crowd every time he stepped on stage and bring us all to our feet, cheering in awe and admiration of his talent. And there was the personal side who, regardless of his own challenges, always had a smile, a kind word, and a good story to share with us all. He touched our lives in many different ways and we are blessed to have been able to share in so many moments and make so many memories together. He will live on through his legendary career and the many people that he touched with his kind heart! We will miss you Michael!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved Queen Bea who lost her battle with Cancer. Beatrice was an integral and active member of the Shuffle Advisory Board as well as the GM for the Port Credit BIA. We relied on Bea for her 20 years of insight and advise. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace our dear friend.
